As of this summer, we will have been in business for seven years! First and foremost, thank you for your business and support. Second, we have some announcements regarding upcoming changes in rates and availability/scheduling. As some of you already know, there are some big changes happening at One James.

1. RATES:

We will be standardizing rates across the board. If you are a new client (within the last few years), you will not notice any change. If you are an older client, you will be asked to pay the same rates newer clients are paying. As of June 1, 2010, our hourly rate for all business clients will be standardized at $75/hr., for all services, for any new requests. The nonprofit rate will be $60/hr. Requests for updates on existing projects made between now and June 1 will be charged at the existing rate for each client.

2. AVAILABILITY/SCHEDULING:

Also, although we will continue to support existing clients, we will no longer be taking on work from new clients for the foreseeable future.

Over the last couple years, and through the culmination of various events, including multiple major surgeries, changing economic conditions, and experiences with recent projects, I have decided to step back to part-time status. This will include a part-time return to academia, during which time I will be out of the office part of the day. And, because my schedule will be a bit tighter, I just ask that you give me advance notice for any big changes. I will do my best to make sure your requests are taken care of quickly and that existing projects are either wrapped up or in a state where they can be easily maintained in house or passed on.

Again, I want to say thank you for your business, support, and encouragement and for your patience and understanding through the upcoming transition period.

Video: Typophile Film Festival 5 Opening Titles
